Old Ford ‘Fire’_Truck

I’m always on the move as head of the Rochester C_J_L bureau. And I cover a lot of miles. Yesterday I came across yet “another” old fire truck. This one isn’t anywhere near as old as last weeks that I posted. This is an F_750 if I remember correctly. But I venture to say it’s 30 to 40 years old. I didn’t get chance to get the year.

Antique ‘Fire Truck’…

While at work yesterday, I needed some tools. So I went into 1 of our shops that I hadn’t yet been into. I discovered this old treasure. She’s either a 1941 or 1946. One of my bosses toys.

Old Cars, History!

Yes folks, here’s an old Ford. I believe it’s a 1956. A pure classic, a fine piece of machinery!

Trucking Back in the Days!

And yes folks, while at another repair shop getting things done on my truck, I walked around while waiting and noticed this old relic. She’s a 1956 Ford.

Aeronautical History!

This past week I was on a run in Geneseo, New York. They have an old plane mini museum so to speak. They have plane rides with weekend aviationists, mini tours,etc.. While there I noticed this relic. It’s not the greatest picture due to the distance I shot it at, not the greatest lighting either. But I wanted to share it.

Tight squeeze!

Yes folks, the trucking business has it’s ups and downs. But by days end, we move on!

Ran Out of Gas!

Morning Mark!
Right now in Rochester it’s 80 degrees and the humidity is 56 percent. Another hot one, yuck! All across the country we’ve been dealing with this heat wave and not much relief in sight.
And true to tradition people are running to the beach.
Yesterday while on the road I came across a family en route to the beach and they ran out of gas. (Old Chevy picture) But they called their Old Uncle Hank and he saved the day. He picked the family up and got them to the beach. (Old Caddy picture)

Antique excavating Grader!

Yesterday while on a run I discovered this relic. An antique grader, note there is no engine. This was a towed one. It’s age speaks for itself. 🙂
