The thunder rolled and rolled and rolled as I rose in the Cornfield. Rain fell, but will give way to partly cloudy skies today turning hot and humid.

When It Rains…

The lightning flashed. The thunder rolled. The rain fell.
That was last night.
This morning, the Cornfield is soggy and the sky is cloudy. Isolated thunderstorms are in store as the day wears on.

The Day After

Thunderstorms rolled through the Cornfield last evening. Some were heavy and even produced hail.
The white "pebbles" are hail.

Now it is the day after.
The temperature dropped 11 degrees from 73 to 62 in a matter of five minutes. Now a slight warming has begun, but will give way to cooler temps later in the week as April begins.

Hail in the Cornfield

As thunderstorms roll across the Cornfield this Easter evening, hail is also falling. The thunder is long and loud. Warnings have been issued.
The temperature fell from 73 to 62 in a matter of five minutes.
The white “pebbles” are hail covering the yard in front of Mark’s Den as seen through the screen door.

Gray March Start

Those hoping March would begin with a whimper, a lamb-like debut, will be disappointed.
Rain moved into the Cornfield overnight and lingers today. Thunder rolls. Lightning flashes.
Oh, and snow is moving in later tonight into tomorrow.

Stormy Last Weekend of 2015

Throughout the night the rain fell. The winds blew. The lightning flashed. The thunder rolled. A gray wet day met the dawn.
The death toll rose as 18 lost their lives outside of Dallas, Texas alone on Saturday. Tornadoes once more ripped through the South.
As 2016 beckons, winter – yes, real winter weather – is on the horizon. We are talking snow and cold.
